Leadership is a roller coaster journey with its fair share of highs and lows.

I recall a banking leader sharing how he had a difficult relationship, to put it mildly, with his immediate boss. So much so that he moved to another company (for a better role, of course) in a different city just to get away from his boss and the trauma he underwent. 

His troubles continued with a couple of his immediate bosses after that too, but they were less toxic, and the environments more supportive. And he often wonders if the problem lay with him or them and what he could have done in those situations.
